I know I've "said" this to you before but the things you write about sometimes just smack me in the face with memories of my own life. I am about 10 years older and my kids are grown now but man, times were tough for a while there.
Keep your head up and stay positive (as much as you can) for your baby. As the best boss I ever had in my life used to say - "You can only do what you can do today, start over on the rest tomorrow". It has helped me deal with lots of stuff in my life so I hope it helps you deal a bit with your single mom frustrations too.
Its a good car. but its 12 years old now. I've only had a couple major expenses with it. This being one of them. I'm jsut glad I have a credit card.....cause there is NO way I'd ever have that much in Real Money!

we had a car that cost average $400 a month
and the payment on it was $ 400
I could have driven something really great for $800
