Practicum Today!

Its the first day of my practicum today! YaY! Hooray!

so last night Charlotte asked if she could have a friend sleepover in the playhouse. Why not I thought. So she did.

I was a mess, I mean absolute snotty disgusitng mess last night and just wanted to be in be at 7PM but had to monitor these girls till at least 9. Damn.

So I walked around with Kleenex shoved in BOTH my nostrils all evening while in the house. This morning I sit with it only up one nostril and polysporin all around. I am hoping the redness will go down and minimal schaffing when i put make-up on for work today. Needless to say, I was not in the good last night. In bed, trying desperately to sleep at 9 O'clock. my head pounding from allergies, coughing and feeling like I have a fever. Great!

but I did it. I fell asleep!

Heard the girls come in a couple times for the bathroom - then I heard a different sound. A different coming in. I got up, it was Charlotte. Her friend had fallen asleep with her leg on Charley. So Charley woke her up so she would move it so that she could go to sleep. The friend then wouldn't stop bugging her, so Charlotte left and decided she was going to sleep in the house. this is 11:30 at night. i tell Charlotte that that is not going to happen. Get back outside and deal with it. you don't leave your friend outside!

Out she reluctantly goes to deal with her friend. I am standing there thinking I need to go out now. Damn it. The phone rings. its the girls mom saying she is no her way down to get her kid.

Oh For Frig's sake! the kid had her moms cell phone and called mom!

So now I am outside getting this girl packed up at midnight, snot dripping out of my nose in my jammies, so that the mom can get her.

I get saving your kid, but ..................... sometimes its kid shit and they need to work it out.

so in Charley comes to sleep in her bed. In I go to lay there and filter thru what just happened. Now trying to think about where Charlotte is going to go for daycare for the next couple days. You see, this was also where Charley was going to be for today and tomorrow while I am at work. Double Frig! now its going to be weird. I can't leave her there. ARG!

WEll now I am up. Its 6AM and I still have snot dripping out of my nose. My nostrils are all red and sore. I didn't sleep the greatest and the meds I took last night to combat the nasty allergy demon still working their way through my body. Its my First day of practicum.

Now that I've gotten that out - what to wear

i am nervous, scared, and excited. What to expect. I am hoping i get a good refrence out of this. I am also hoping that these allergies I m experiencing make an exit very soon. I feel like Pooh!

Mountain is on his T shop. I think we came to a common ground. Which is good.

the inviting of the grandmother to chaperone happened. Only it didn't happen how I thought it had. Got the details last night. She apparently invited herself! Which of course Mntn said "ok" but hey! got some mixed feelings about that.

First of all - I'd already thought about it and was urging him to take care of that. it was my idea, so I want props for it. Second- i am insulted that she would invite herself! So mntn better make sure I get props where props are due.

Does that make sense?

Finally got my results!

i passed! I can call my practicum host tomorrow and hopefully get started on Monday! Hopefully! ACK! Then maybe, just maybe I can get a nice steady part-time job in the office! Pleeeeez? Pretty Please with Sugar and Strawberries on top

Clean-up

Steph is in Total OCD charge of the clean-up crew at my wedding. Granted there will be other things she is very involved in, but clean-up is her baby. So besides the people that are just on the list for her crew ....... the way i see it .......... if you are there at the end - you have volunteered yourself to help.

Kids

Nope. I decided. No kids at the wedding unless they are family.

It sucks, and I know that there are some people that might not come because they can't bring there kids and that sucks Huge. However, we just gotta keep the numbers down. 80pple is pretty much what I want. Kids up that number too high and we dont' have a money tree. So it will suck but I will have to write that on the invites. ARG! Too bad about the Money Tree

Yup.

Freezing is out and I am bruised. At least that's how it feels. my whole leg is extremely ungood. My joint ......... UGH!

the freezing needle was bad enough. Then the nice (good looking) doctor shot my hip up with a needle full of dyed liquid. Filling the spaces within my joint, so I didn't really have one anymore. It was like it was all fused together by liquid. So my joint was purposely held apart with this colorful liquid. Now its been moving its way through the length of my leg along with the freezing. My whole leg feels horrible.

I have been sitting on the couch since with my leg up. Am I in pain because my joint was blown apart or am I an pain because Alvin is Uber Pissed? Either way i am in pain and I think I will be sleeping on the couch tonight.

finding this during my MRI research doesn't make me feel better

Normally, for a hip MRI the contrast is NOT injected into the bloodstream. It sounds like they are going to be doing an arthrogram. It's pretty common. The Radiologist will inject some contrast directly into your hip joint. They numb it as best they can but I am sure it will be uncomfortable. Once the contrast is in your hip joint, you then go over to the MRI machine and they will scan your hip. Having the contrast in the hip joint helps the doctors diagnose tears within the joint. Your hip will be pretty stiff the rest of the day until your body absorbs the contrast. The worst part will be the injection of the contrast, after that it will be all downhill.

I plan to visit my dress tomorrow and let The Queen meet her!!

then we will swing into shoe mode so i can get the alterations done to get her transferred to my moms. Woooo

Auggy

it was a year ago today I brought August home.

I've spent some time crying and missing him. As a matter-of-fact i have tears rolling down my cheeks right now. I miss him sooo much. He wasn't like a cat. it was like he was a person, that woke one day as a cat, and just was trying to make the best of it. He was such a special friend to me.

i will never forget that day, barely being able to walk. Going in to that pet store for fish food, and there he was. in a plexiglass box. Staring out at me with those big blue eyes. A teenage kitty that nobody wanted because he wasn't perfect enough. As I held him, limp as a sack of sugar, his arms around my neck ......... then he licked me. That was it he was mine and there was no way I was leaving him there.

There wasn't a mean bone in his body.

Its been months since that awful long weekend in May.

i still can't bring myself to drive down the road he lost his life on.

There's a hole in my heart. I can't believe the impact he has had on my life. His life was such a blessing to mine.
