we took the Brits to moms for dinner yesterday. Everyone was there as this had become an extra special dinner to celebrate our Engagement. Got a beautiful gift from my Aunt. The champagne came out, and my parents -- my dad proudly rose his glass to say how plaesed he was. How much he and my mom like Lyle and how glad they are to be welcoming him into the family. it was really beautiful. his dad spoke up (my soon to be father-in-law) wanting to make a toast also. So we all rose our glasses again and he toasted to Lyle's sister. The daughter he almost never had .........
my sister corrected me - he didn't toast the the daughter he never had. He went a step further ...... he toasted to the little girl he never had ........ so like my Sister said - not only did he steal our thunder and not even let the first toast settle, so that we glow ......... he was creepy about it too.
