the flea market you say.....

hmmm......

tjhats on saturday or sunday?

I'm sure as Heck not spending 100 Bux!
I'll glue tires to her runners before I do that!

Heelies are runners that wheels can pop out of the heel and the kids can roll. Or fall backwards and crack their skulls open. Whatever floats your boat really.
since Muck is so mean she probably likes the skull cracking one.
So mean....whatever. Didn't you just throw a party?

I hate heelies! They are not allowed at our school... too many accidents. Nothing like rolling your way into childhood obesity!
But then that is just my opinion and I am old! LOL!

i have heelys haha. they were hard to find in my size.

I was getting out of my car one time and i was wearing them when i went to a movie one time. i forgot i had them on and almost fell on my butt. i quickly looked around haha

i don't have my wheels in right now though. mine were expensive!

I am not a fan of heelies either. this is of course why she doesn't have any yet.
however......that being said. I figured that by a year later she would have forgotten about them.
Hmph!
James! you got heelies? Holy Carp!

I agree with Erin
I think they are so dangerous neither of my kids are allowed to have them
they look really cool and fun but I just dont think they can possibly be good for bone and muscle developement in children
as for adults hip replacement is always an option haha
but if you have promised YOU IS SCREWED

I don't really think its "rolling their way into childhood obseity". Have you ever rollerbladed? Its a leg workout for sure. Crazy expensive? Yes. Kids love them? Yes. Does she wear them to school? No. Did my parents buy me 'ikeda lockups' when I was a kid??? you bet.
OK, well you had your opinon, I have mine!
It's all good! I am writing this in humour, don't read this as me being pissy.

WEll hmmmm.
I never thought of the obesity thing.
I jsut think about the Head Cracking thing. They are dangerous. but I did say, "your birthday is coming"
what a dumbass!
For me its mostly a money issue. they are an expensive fad. I don't spend that much on shoes for me.
and I know I'm gonna wear them forever!
But as Bobbi said.....I IS SCREWED!

theres gotta be a way out of it. I'll talk to her and see.

wheelies aren't really like rollerblades though. In that, you don't use the same kind of motions. it's more like, riding a scooter without anything to hang onto.

Definitley a no at school.

so your kid wants wheelies... mine wanted a unicycle. holy geekiness batman!!! i mean really. UNICYCLE??? joining the circus are we? hehe... all kidding aside... unicycles are quite popular with the kids here because the schools have some they use in their PE programs and there is a unicycle club which has a waiting list most years. When Sammi asked for one for christmas, we had to tell her no. first, she never rode the one she borrowed from school every single stinking weekend that I had to haul it to and from school. (she didnt get to bring it home once that pattern was established). and two.. there really isnt anywhere safe here for her to practice it on. learning riders need a lot of safe-LEVEL-space. She was dissapointed, but by the time christmas passed by, and the next thing came along, she got over it and forgot all about it. she didnt go to unicycle club this fall.
uhhh... my point... well... its cool when parents can treat kids to these fun fad things, but it also won't kill them if we don't. In fact, I will go as far as to say, it is good for them to learn young that they can't have everything they want and that they will live without it.
my two cents... ca-ching
