Legalize it!

Yup. I've decided.
maybe i have lost my mind.

but I have thought about it and i think we should jsut legalize drugs.
legalize it. Gets rid of the dealers.
Sell it cheap. they;ll weed themselves out with overdoses and whatever else. should cut the transiates at least by half!
They won't steal so much cause the carp witll be cheap enough to buy.
Keep the slums for them all to live in. Keep them in an area that is monitored by the cops.....they won't be all over in the streets.
There would be no need.
They'd have their drug of choice. A place to sleep. just gotta worry about food. But I'm sure they all visit the food bank anyhow. Maybe the Food Bank could just deliver!
Kinda like that Kurt Russel movie Escape From New york!
put all the druggies and hookers and dead beats all in the same place. Fence it........

okay so I haven't worked out the kinks, but I'm sure you get my drift!

yup

I just figure we;ve been fighting it for so long.
Kinda like the sex your kids are gonna have before they are married.
So instead of telling them no....cause they;re gonna do it anyway.....teach them how to do it safely.
So I figure with Drugs and dealers.....legalize it.
Get rid of the dealers, cuz they are most of the problem anyway.
Make it cheap.
the problem will fix itself.
the rest will find there way back to rehab. Its available to them now and will still be.

Apparently in some European countries, they have villages where the 'people' live. And do pretty much what I described, only probably better.
Then they are not in our streets. The ones that actaully want the help are getting it and the filthy rich dealers are no more!
Works there. Why can't it work here?

There is a lot of sense to that. You make it a social problem instead of a criminal problem.

Another advantage is you take all of that money away from the underworld and put it into the legit economy (where it can be taxed and used to pay for treatment programs).
