help! Advice from someone Who's been There before Me???

I am planning Charlottes kid party for Castle Fun park this year.
I've never done it away from home before. So this is new to me.
Should I still give out goody bags??
WE are doing the Golf thing and depending on how big the bill gets.....I'd like to provide a few tokens for the games.

Opinions.....

Well I haven't done that kind of party yet, but I say tokens are enough!

I don't think loot bags are neccessary. You are all ready supplying them with a great party, with a lot of entertainment and if they get tickets from their games, then they can load up on cheap loot bag like stuff there anyways.

I like doing loot bags but it really isn't necessary. Especially for a party like your doing. They really can get expensive if you let them. Maybe just like D said a few candies, maybe some stickers or something from the dollar store and maybe a balloon. For some reason those stupid cheap balloons are always a hit.

Your brave!! Good luck!!

We did her party there twice, and I gave everyone around 4 tokens ($1), I did do goodie bags, and we didn't golf until the end of the party, just with one friend, the birthday kid gets a free golf, and bumper car ride as it is. Golfing for the party will definately add up, I wouldn't be doing both.

I hate loot bags
crap filled annoyances that come home from every party
however having said that I give them at every kids party because there is always the kids that asks for it
we have had several parties there and I usually give each kid like 5 tokens to spend while you are waiting for whatever--parents-cake-presents-golf

but I think a granola bar and a sticker SEALED in a pricess bag is quite acceptable and cheap

I always thought of the goodie bags as a thank you for the gifts. I would make up bags with one or two items in it and distribute them when all the kids are at the counter spending their coupons, then they have something to put their stuff in and they get the idea, that the tokens were their "loot" plus if some kids didn't get any coupons they still get something.

they are a gift.
Kinda like when you go to a wedding and get the little thingy at your place setting.
its etiquette.
Tokens in a bag with stickers and a something else will probably be just peachy!
i like to give useable things in the goody bags. like toothpaste or notebooks.
we'll see what i can come up with.

Thanks Ladies for your opinions. They were very needed!

Charlotte is still young enough for goodie bags. I stop doing goodie bags at age 10.
They really do get expensive! However, with all the halloween candy going on sale you should be able to do some pretty inexpensively. And 3 for$1 pencils at the dollar store always work for me.
As for tokens, 4 don't go very far and unless they play on a good machine and get lots of tickets, they won't be getting much at the prize stand. But, it's a fun place to party and you gotta love the band!!!
Happy Birthday to you both.
